B Local Limburg’s mission is to support Limburg’s network of certified B Corps and aspiring companies by promoting social and environmental responsibility in business. By creating meaningful connections and raising awareness of the B Corp movement, B Local Limburg aims to maximize regional impact and champion sustainable business practices. B Local Limburg is the first-ever B Local established in the Benelux.

The Journey of B Local Limburg

Every great initiative starts with a story, and B Local Limburg is no exception. The journey began with Toos Hofstede—a passionate B Corp ambassador at Viastory—who recognized the need for a local network to drive sustainable and equitable change in Limburg. Inspired by the global B Corp movement, she rallied other B Corps in the Limburg region, inviting them to join her on this journey to make a positive impact at the local level.

The establishment of this first B Local has already ignited the B Corp community spirit in the region with businesses making connections and sharing opportunities for collaboration by organizing information sessions, networking events and various company visits to a.o. Nedlin, Vebego Participatie, Moonen Packaging, Gulpener, Brabantia and Viastory. The group also participates in the yearly Maas Cleanup event, contributing to removing 250.000 kilos of waste from the river. These initiatives have set the stage for ongoing impact and deeper engagement in the region.
